the art wall

art wall guidelines

  • our community art wall is less about safe landscapes or polite portraits and more designed for work that pokes, provokes, and stirs the pot. We’re drawn to art that makes people stop mid-drink, tilt their head, and rethink the world they just walked in from

  • art is installed for a 4-week period, from wednesday to wednesday.

  • if an artist wishes to extend the installation period, they may hang a new collection after the initial 4-week period for a second 4-week period, provided the timeslot is available.

  • installation and removal/replacement may take place on wednesday before 11am, or the prior Tuesday night after close at midnight.

  • art installation and removal must be completed by the artist, not Shuga’s staff; Shuga’s only provides the wall space.

  • the wall is approximately 8x12 ft with 8x7½ ft of usable hanging space. Artists should plan to use no less than 60% of the usable hanging space.

  • pricing and artist information should be included with the art so guests may reach out directly to the artist for sales inquiries.

  • Shuga’s does not get involved in nor receives any commissions from art sales.
